The Cromus SKILL.md Validator is a free community tool that analyzes and scores SKILL.md workflow specification files. SKILL.md is an open standard for portable, structured AI workflow specifications that capture execution profiles, model requirements, token estimates, input/output contracts, and governance constraints.
The validator provides: Completeness scoring (checking all required sections are present), Execution profile detection (classifying the workflow as autonomous, human-in-the-loop, batch, or real-time), Operational Croms assessment (identifying structural waste and optimization opportunities), Model compatibility checking (verifying referenced models exist in the registry), and Actionable recommendations for improving the specification.
