Free AI Workflow Validators — Cromus
Cromus provides free community validator tools for AI workflow governance files. The validators check ETHOS.md (behavioral governance), SKILL.md (workflow specification), and MEMORY.md (portable agent memory) files for completeness, compliance, and quality — generating instant scores and actionable recommendations.
The ETHOS.md Validator assesses behavioral governance files that define how AI agents should behave, including ethical constraints, fallback behaviors, escalation policies, and transparency requirements. It scores files on completeness, assigns an Ethics Croms assessment, and identifies profile matches.
The SKILL.md Validator analyzes workflow specification files that define execution profiles, model requirements, token estimates, input/output contracts, and governance constraints. It provides execution profile detection, Operational Croms assessment, and optimization recommendations.
The MEMORY.md Validator checks portable AI agent memory specifications — validating frontmatter fields, required sections (Identity, Persistent Context, Session Context, Compression Rules, Handoff Protocol), and section content depth. It scores files 0–100 with status levels: Valid, Needs Optimization, or Incomplete.
All validators are free to use without an account and run entirely client-side — no data is sent to external servers.
